What Is the Issue?
Some riders have reported issues such as:
- Wheels getting stuck unexpectedly.
- Noticeable wear on connectors.
- Unusual noises or grinding sounds during rides.
After conducting an in-depth investigation, we discovered a manufacturing defect in the rear truck flange. Specifically, the flange on the rear axle of the HURRICANE series(Gear drive) boards has a 0.5mm thickness variance—one side is slightly thicker than the other.
This seemingly minor misalignment leads to:
- Uneven gaps between the axle and gear housingduring assembly.
- Increased stress on the rear axle over time.
- Long-term riding may cause axle bending, resulting in wheel lock-ups or abnormal gear noises.
Our Solution
To resolve this, MEEPO will be replacing the affected rear truck axles with an improved and precisely manufactured version. These upgraded axles have been rigorously tested to ensure they maintain proper alignment, eliminating the risk of uneven gaps and axle stress.
